Mobile OBD Compliance Testing
CARB Clean Truck Check
For 2013 and newer diesel vehicles over 14,000 lbs. The Clean Truck Check program is designed to ensure compliance with California Air Resources Board (CARB) requirements for on-board diagnostics (OBD) in heavy-duty vehicles.
What We Do
We conduct CARB-compliant OBD testing for diesel vehicles manufactured in 2013 or newer, with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) exceeding 14,000 lbs.
How Often
Commercial Vehicles: Testing is required biannually to maintain compliance. Starting in 2027, testing will be required four times a year. Motorhomes and Agricultural Vehicles: Testing is required annually.

What Is Clean Truck Check?
CARB's Clean Truck Check is California's emissions compliance program for heavy-duty vehicles over 14,000 lbs. If your truck operates in California, periodic testing is mandatory — no exceptions.
Who Must Test
OBD testing applies to heavy-duty (GVWR ≥ 14,000 lbs.) diesel vehicles and diesel hybrids with 2013+ model year engines, and alternative fuel (e.g., natural gas) and alternative fuel hybrid heavy-duty vehicles with 2018+ model year engines.
How Often
Compliance testing is required on a recurring schedule tied to your DMV registration and reporting window. Miss it and your truck falls out of good standing.
If You Don't Comply
DMV registration holds, CHP and roadside enforcement, and civil penalties. Non-compliant vehicles can be blocked from operating in California.
